Partido Reporma chairman and standard-bearer Panfilo “Ping” Lacson is scheduled to meet with political leaders and residents of Pampanga on Friday to offer possible solutions he had in mind as regards the most pressing concerns of their province.

The activity is part of the “Online Kumustahan” virtual town hall forums organized by Partido Reporma and its allied political parties to support his presidential bid in tandem with running mate Senate President Vicente “Tito” Sotto III.

Lacson is set to visit Brgy. San Antonio in Mexico, Pampanga for an in-person socially distanced gathering that will be streamed live via Zoom video conference and through his verified Facebook account (@PingLacsonOfficial) at 2 p.m.

Also participating in the afternoon virtual forum are the local leaders and residents from the City of San Fernando and Barangays San Juan in San Simon, Mandasig in Candaba, and Apalit in Floridablanca, Pampanga.

Meanwhile, hotlines to respond to all concerns being raised by Lacson and Sotto were set up by the party. They said the hotlines and call center will address the public’s queries on issues, policies, and platforms of government by Partido Reporma. Macon Ramos-Araneta

The call center is now fully operational and ready to take questions using the following hotline numbers 09989861210 and 09989597200.

Partido Reporma is the first and only political party so far that set up hotlines and call centers that will directly answer questions and queries from the public concerning election-related issues.

The Lacson-Sotto campaign team launched “Online Kumustahan” to a resounding success in the congressional districts of Antipolo City,

Rizal over the last two weeks as part of their commitment to avoid holding risky political rallies amid the continuing COVID-19 pandemic.

The two separate activities pulled around 4,000 supporters during the organized in-person assemblies in different venues across all 16 participating barangays in Antipolo City. Thousands more people followed the events via Facebook and Zoom.

Both Lacson and Sotto appeared during the first edition of the “Online Kumustahan” that was held in the first district of Antipolo City. They spoke with the residents of Barangays Bagong Nayon, Beverly Hills, Dela Paz, Mambugan, Mayamot, Muntindilaw, San Isidro and Santa Cruz.

For the follow-up event, Lacson brought with him Partido Reporma senatorial candidates Dr. Minguita Padilla and Paolo Capino as well as former Quezon City Mayor Herbert Bautista, who is also running for senator under the Nationalist People’s Coalition (NPC), which Sotto chairs.

They met with the local leaders and residents of Barangays Calawis, Cupang, Dalig, Inarawan, San Jose, San Juan, San Luis and San Roque, which comprise the second congressional district of Antipolo City.

The success of the first two “Online Kumustahan” events gave Partido Reporma, NPC, and the National Unity Party led by campaign manager Ronaldo Puno the confidence they need to drum up widespread and organic grassroots level of support for the Lacson-Sotto tandem, thereby, allowing its expansion to other provinces.

“We are putting up a hotline and a call center to answer all questions about the party, Senator Lacson and his team, and the policies and platforms of government that we are pushing come the 2022 elections,” the Membership Division of the party said.

To date, the call center has 10 to 20 agents who respond to membership applications from different regions. They also entertain and answer questions or queries on various issues, from highly controversial matters down to petty ones.

“They can get all the information they wanted to learn about the party, about Senator Ping and his team. They can even ask about his background, and maybe even about his personal and love life,” the statement added.

Partido Reporma also cited the need to establish the center not only to expand the party’s reach, but also to inform and educate voters amid the proliferation of fake news on social media.

“This is our way to combat fake news and misinformation. We directly answer all questions about issues concerning our party and our candidates. We don’t have trolls, we have live agents who will give you accurate information and answers,” it added.

Also, all call center agents are either bilingual or multi-lingual so they could better relay the message across all regions.

“We have people who understand and speak local dialects for better communication, so we can also relay the party’s message seamlessly,” the statement further stated.

With its call centers and hotlines and ‘Online Kumustahan,’ the party is confident that it will be able to convey to the public the directions that Lacson and his team would want to pursue should he win the election.
